MANAMA: Bahrain's industrial and economic development will be significantly boosted by Qatar's decision to supply natural gas, said the Premier yesterday.He told the weekly Cabinet session that the move also reflected well on GCC integration.

Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa lauded efforts of the Supreme Bahraini-Qatari Joint Comm-ittee under the chairmanship of both countries' Crown Princes.

The natural gas decision will also further strengthen bonds between Bahrain and Qatar.

In other key developments, the Cabinet yesterday welcomed formation of Iraq's new government, wishing it success in bringing security and stability to its people.

The Cabinet also passed the following draft laws to MPs and the Shura Council:

Designation of Tubli Bay as a conservation area.

Priority to recruiting Bahrainis in the BDF, Public Security and National Guard.
