Receiving and delivery unit

This is the "show window" of the Assay Office whose functions in brief are as follows:

• Receiving business visitors and customers and checking their precious metal articles. Items submitted for inspection are checked against the particulars (weight, number, standard, owner's name and contact address, and other essential information) contained in the form attached to such articles. A receipt is issued and the articles are referred to the appropriate Assay Office personnel for processing.
• Delivering completed articles after collecting the appropriate fees.
• Ensuring the dismantling of illegal/inferior articles, unless they are hallmarked according to their actual legal standards.
