As part of the Consumer Protection Directorate's activates during the occasion of Ramadan, the CPD has conducted a wide survey on the vegetables and fruits markets before and during Ramadan to ensure that there is no monopoly or manipulation in prices which will negatively affect consumers.
The CPD announced that consumer prices are almost stable. According to the analysis done by the directorate on prices, it showed that almost 86% of the commodities were showing stable prices, 18% has decreased while 14% has increased.
The reason behind that was due to the increase in their prices in the country of origin.
